03.05.08 - A small update from Sounds Of Unity A lot is happening with Sounds Of Unity this winter! New releases, new bands and more shows. Here is a small update: We are now working together with two new bands, Shot At Dawn and The Dirty Callahans. Shot At Dawn has recently released a new EP and will be playing at Elm Street in Oslo Febrary 7th with MLGF. They will also join MLGF in their hometown, Trondheim, later in February. The Dirty Callahans are taking a tour of the US this February. They will be touring with the texans The Bexar County Bastards and will be visiting Texas, California, Nevada and Washington. The band will return to Norway in time for their release concert for the album "Stepping On Toes" at John Dee in Oslo witch will be taking place on March 13th. A friday, of course. Serenity Trace have also released a new album, "7th Revolution", witch they are celebrating with a release concert at Garage in Oslo on February 5th. Support for th enight will be provided by Iskra and Panic Session. When it comes to Iskra, they have been mixing up their line up and are sporting a few new members. They will be spending most of the winter writing new material. Also Rabalder are taking things easy these days, with their guitarist running around and shooting stuff in the army. 14.10.08 - Upcoming shows and other news It's been a while since our last update. A few gigs have been added to the "Shows" section. Serenity Trace has now released their debut album, "7th Revolution", and it is now available for purchase in the "Releases" section. CHECK IT OUT! Iskra has made a few lineup changes and are now sporting a brand new drummer & guitarist. They will be making their debut as Iskra open for August Burns Red (US) at John Dee, Oslo on October 17th. The guys in Iskra will also be trashing Garage, Oslo woth Torch. Both bands will also be rocking this year's Tårnåsenfestivalen with Mehe and Rabalder. 10.03.08 - Upcoming shows and other news it's been a while since our last update. A few gigs have been added to the "Shows" section. Iskra has made a music video for the track "Like A Dead Amongst The Living" from their selftitled debut album, Nekromantheon will be a part of a plit this spring wich will be released by american Relapse Records and Obliteration will be going on a little tour in the UK. The release of Iskra's self-titled album is just around the bend, as well as new merch (wich is now available for purchase on this website and all Iskra shows). 14.08.07 - Rabalder Release Party Rabalder is having another release party at Hølet, Tårnåsen the 29th of august. The show will be ALL AGES. We would also like to remind you of the B&S show with The Haunted (SE), Insense & She Said Destroy saturday 8th of september at Club Maiden in Oslo. Link found on menu above. 14.08.07 - Rabalder Release Party Sounds of Unity's own Rabalder is releasing their new EP, "Here To Represent", and are celebrating with a release party at Club Maiden in Oslo on thursday the 23rd of august. They will be bringing along Raging Fugitives and some very special guests that you wouldn't want to miss. The cc is 80 nok and includes the EP. The age limit is 18 and doors open at 9pm. We have also got some spanking new Rabalder tees that will be available at the show and they are now available for order here on the website. Iskra is well on their way with mixing their album and we're counting on having it available for sale sometime this september. All That Remains kicked some serious ass during their little visit to norway and some photos from the event is available in the media section of the B&S site wich you can enter by pressing the link on the menu above. 19.07.07 - B&S Presenterer All That Remains (US) Yes, it's true. All That Remains makes a pit-stop in Norway this august at Club Maiden in Oslo. They will be trashing the place with Lowdown and Sounds of Unity's own Iskra. Doors open at 9 pm, the age limit is 18 and it will cost you 180 nok. Tickets can be bought at Club Maiden, the record store Tiger in Oslo or at www.tigernet.no. Rabalder and Iskra will have new releases on Sounds of Unity this august/september and we are very interestet in getting a distribution deal going. Rabalder will be releasing an EP with 6 tracks and Iskra a full album with 10 songs. Get some info on the bands here. On these pages you will also find links to the bands myspace pages etc. Obliteration recently released their debut effort, "Perpetual Decay", on Tyrant Syndicate/Peaceville Records og had a facecrushing release party at Club Maiden a few weeks back. The record is now available in most norwegian record stores and some norwegian and international online stores. 10.05.07 - Upcoming shows Sounds Of Unity presents Boots & Sneakers with All That Remains (US), Lowdown & Iskra the 5th of August og The Haunted, Insense & She Said Destroy the 8th of September at Club Maiden in Oslo. And all of the SOU bands have a lot of shows coming up. Check under SHOWS for a full overview. 27.03.07 - Good and bad news First of all, the Stonegard gig at Kolbe has passedand it was big success. Smashing performances by all bands. This thursday (29th of march) it's time for some more Boots & Sneakers at Club Maiden in Oslo. Torch, Brawl and Iskra will be tearing it up. This will be Brawl's final gig. They have decided to dissolve the band after 10 years in the local hardcore scene and are inviting you to a final ball this fine evening. The price will be 90 nok and you have to be at least 18. Be there and show Brawl that we want them to stick around for another decade! 07.03.07 - Brawl is looking for a new guitarist Ola has decided to quit Brawl and now the band is looking for a replacement. Ola will be playing his last gig with Brawl at Boots & Sneakers the 29th of march at Club Maiden in Oslo. When it comes to updates a few gigs have been added to the shows section and there is also a minor update in the contact section. 28.02.07 - Stonegard ticketsales The Stonegard ticketsales are going great and it looks like it's going to be a crowded night with a lot of great heavy music. Get your ticket at kolben.no, a youthcenter in Oppegård or at Follo Musikk in Ski. 17.02.07 - Stonegard at Kolben As mentioned earlier Sounds of Unity has booked Stonegard to play Kolben at Kolbotn on Thursday the 23rd of March. The two newest additions to Sounds of Unity, Nekromantheon and Iskra, will be opening alongside Dead Trooper and Infidels Forever. Ticket prices will be 100 nok (prepaid) or 130 nok (at the door) and the show will start at 7pm. You can buy tickets at kolben.no, the youthcenters in Oppegård or at Follo Musikk in Ski. Saturday the 17th of March there will be held a Kick Off gig at Kolben for the show mentioned above. The bands bookes so far for this event are Shot At Dawn, Krønsj and Infidels Forever. Further information about this event coming soon. 15.02.07 - News From Sounds of Unity We now have two new bands who are working with us, Nekromantheon and Iskra. Nekromantheon plays old school thrash metal and Iskra plays hardcore/metal. Obliteration finished the recording of their debut album this january and it will be released on Tyrant Syndicate this spring. Rabalder has also been in a studio, working with Worthless Productions, and will release an EP sometime in the sping of '07. When it comes to live shows Sounds of Unity can proudly present Stonegard in Kolben at Kolbotn on the 23rd of March. Also playing are Nekromantheon, Iskra and Dead Trooper. Rabalder has managed to qualify themselves to the semifinals of Bandkamp '07 (local version of Battle of The Bands) at Hølet. If they make it all the way to the final and win they will be awarded a spot on the main stage of the Tårnåsen Festival '07 and will also be entitled to half of the cover charge from all the Bandkamp gigs. The winner of each round is decided by the audience, so show up and vote for Rabalder! The semifinal will be at Hølet Tuesday the 14th of March! Doors open at 19:00 and the cc is 20 nok. BE THERE! 15.02.07 - New Site Up And Running The new website is up and running, but it might take a couple of days for the site to be fully up and running. Updates will be added shortly. We have also made a new section on this site for Sounds of Unity's concert-concept Boots & Sneakers wich you can find by clicking the B&S button on the menu above. There will also be a huge update on what's going on with Sounds of Unity in the present future, like releases, concerts and new artists on the label. So check back soon!
